With the rapid development of urban infrastructure construction, municipal management work has become more diversified, and public underground pipeline facilities such as communication, gas, water supply, drainage, heat, and electric power in the city have also increased. The management of manhole covers for various underground pipeline facilities on urban pavements has also become one of the concerns. If the urban pavement manhole cover is not well managed, it will cause great safety hazards to the citizens’ travel and the vehicles on the road.

Especially after the manhole covers on some road sections are lost, it is difficult to determine the nature of the well, so that it is impossible to find the property right unit in time for timely repair. The characteristics of technology (radio frequency technology) are used to realize the retrospective supervision of the manhole cover and maintain the safety of roads and wells; once the manhole cover is lost, only the electronic tag can be scanned to immediately identify the property right unit, and the manhole cover can be reinstalled in the shortest time.

Manhole covers, typically made of cast iron or concrete, can be easily identified using RFID tags. These tags are embedded with a unique identifier that can be scanned and read using RFID readers. By affixing RFID tags to manhole covers, identification processes can be automated, eliminating the need for manual inspection and reducing human error. Municipal authorities and utility companies can quickly locate and identify manholes cover, facilitating efficient maintenance and repair activities.
