Ambient temperature and barometric pressure sensor is a UHF RFID battery-free temperature and pressure sensor tag. Built in a compact PCB format, the tag includes an ambient temperature sensor and a
barometric pressure sensor. The device features a LPS25H temperature and pressure sensor from ST Microelectronics with a temperature range from -30C to +85C and a pressure range from 260 hPa to 1260 hPa. The sensor tag provides an accuracy of 2C in temperature and 0.2 mbar in pressure.
The tag is compatible with EPC C1G2 RFID commercial readers. No custom hardware or custom commands are required.
These RFID sensor tags are compatible with commercial UHF RFID readers (EPC C1G2). With a 2W ERP setup the battery-less resistance meter can communicate to over 5 meters - 16 feet.
Ambient temperature and barometric pressure sensor is ideal for asset or process tracking as it provides a unique identification number plus the data from both temperature and pressure sensors C i.e.: perishable foods in cold chain monitoring.
Ambient temperature and barometric pressure sensor can be customized with different antenna design and sizes, depending on the specific application. It can be encapsulated in an IP67 or IP68 casing for usage in harsh environments. It may also be possible to customize the specifications of the sensor upon request.
